It's Friday. -- So, what makes teachers better than us?

Edit: Never mind, someone probably made that shit up. It hasn't hit the news yet, so I'm assuming it was some rumor and someone is laughing their ass off right now. lol. Anyway, on with the post:

A couple of the teachers at Octorara sincerely believe that they are better than their students. Most of them won't come out and say it directly, (although, some will) but the way they talk down to us and the irritating brag filled stories they demand us to listen to is proof enough for me. Now, I'm not saying all of the teachers at Octorara are like this, and I'm not even saying most of them are like this, it's just a couple of teachers who clearly think of us students as less than human.

What the hell do they think we are? Soon-to-be-humans still in training? Stop demanding respect without giving any back for fucks sake. If you treat us like shit, don't assume just because your a teacher you'll be treated like goddamn royalty. We didn't sign up for school, and we didn't ask you to teach us anything. If the educational institutions in our society were privately owned and the capitalist ideal of free enterprise took it's effect on schooling, teachers like this would get fired for driving away customers. (Students.) Well, unless some dickhead parent sent their kid to some snobby ass strict school for "excellence". And in that setting, the results probably wouldn't be as good as the free-schools, so they would go out of business anyway.

So, how about you few teachers who think you are tough shit stop abusing your state enforced power to a degrading level, and start treating us like a good teacher should: like your fellow human beings who you are aiding in the gathering of knowledge in your respective specialty.

That goes for the administration, and the school board as well. What were they even thinking writing up the fucking handbook? I seriously doubt many of the readers here have used it as little more than a quick reference guide to a specific question about the rules. Go through it a little, look at some of the rules they put in there. It's fucking absurd. The fucking Japanese camps that were created during the WWII erra probably had less restrictions. Seriously.

I bet the people in charge are overprotective parents who never gave their kids the chance learn from their own damn mistakes, and have taken a liking to their ability to ennact laws that govern hundreds of students. In other words, they wrote it while on a goddamn power-trip. There's almost no rules in the handbook that we, the writers here at fuck octorara, even come close to calling fair, reasonable, or necessary.

Our plan for the future:

We're going to pick apart every dumb, useless, and authoritarian rule we can find in that fucker. One post at a time.
