Update: We've been unable to get into this account due to some unknown (not unkown lol) reasons. We managed to find a way to change the password, and I think we've secured ourselves for now... The show must go on, right? Well here it is:
I thought octorara was headed in the right direction? What the hell happened? I guess I saw it coming, but I didn't expect this... They were loosening up their cell phone restrictions, and giving us more freedom, then they just turned around and used it against us. Fucking wow.
I can't say I'm completely surprised, however. They were hanging this whole cell phone rule thing over our heads for a while now... They were pulling one of these: "DON'T DO THIS OR YOU'LL LOOSE YOUR RESTRICTIONS LOLOL LOOK HOW POWERFUL WE ARE WE'RE AWESOME!" And that's bullshit.
There seems to be two schools of thought on this whole silly string incident: The first being the general attitude of the school, the second being the minority. The general attitude is that this whole incident was fucking retarded. It was ridiculous. There was NO reason for this shit except for a stupid little show of power. It's fucking silly string, what's the harm in it? The second school of thought thinks we somehow crossed the line, we were warned, and we should be good little sheep like they want us to be... Well, I think it's pretty obvious which one I subscribe to.
I want to know, honestly, which freshmen were "hurt" by this little silly string incident. We do it EVERY YEAR and it's almost apart of the Octorara tradition. A right of passage for the freshmen in a way. It's really NOT a big deal, and the school is blowing this shit out of proportion.
Don't even get me started about the chants. "Freshmen suck!" is what their worried about? How about when I was in ninth grade and it was "FUCK THE FRESHMEN!!!"? They were chanting that while we were being hit by paper and silly string in front of the entire staff, and the rest of the school... What the fuck happened? I had no problem with that, it was all in good fun...
This is ridiculous, and octorara knows it...
What the fuck should we do about this you ask? I'm not quite sure yet, but I'm thinking it'll have something to do with a slight amount of disobedience...
